Social Media Officer Job Vacancy

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage a monthly content calendar across Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat.
• Design graphics, carousels, stories and short-form videos that match the brand.
• Shoot photo and video content and edit it to fit each platform’s formats.
• Publish and schedule posts consistently, keeping every account active and on brand.
• Engage with followers: reply to comments and messages, and pass customer issues to the customer service team.
• Track performance (reach, engagement, follower growth and conversions) and share a monthly report with recommendations.
• Support the sales and marketing strategy: plan and run campaigns, promotions and launch activities.
• Research trends, competitors and audience insights to keep our brand clearly different in the market.
• Work with influencers, creators and partners on collaborations.
• Keep an organised library of brand assets, templates and published content.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in social media management and content creation.
• A strong creative portfolio showing design, photo and video work.
• Fluent in English and Swahili, written and spoken.
• Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in relevant design tools.
• Proven ability to shoot, edit and produce engaging photo and video content.
• Ability to plan, create and manage content across 3 social media platforms.

• Available to work full-time from our Dar es Salaam office.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Graphic Design, Multimedia or a related field.
